When I started the Golden Helpers project as part of my Google Careers certification, my goal was to fully immerse myself in the UX Design process and develop a functional app from scratch.

This idea came from a personal need in my life. My mom, is an elderly citizen, and although we can often help her with errands and transportation, there are times when it's not possible.

​

Thinking about her and many other older people who could benefit from a reliable and accessible service, Golden Helpers was born: an app designed to offer personal and home cleaning services, assistance, care, and transportation for seniors.

​

To achieve this, I followed a structured design process in Figma, focusing on three key areas:

​

• User experience and navigation flow – I conducted research to understand the specific needs of seniors and their families. From these findings, I designed a simple and accessible navigation flow, ensuring that any user could request a service without complications.

• Design and Prototyping – From the initial sketches to the high-fidelity interactive prototypes, each phase of the design went through iterations and usability testing to ensure the experience was clear and functional.

• Visual Identity and Final Functionality – I defined a user-friendly color palette, legible typography, and an optimized visual hierarchy to facilitate reading and navigation. I also prioritized accessibility elements, such as large buttons and an intuitive interface tailored to the needs of older users.

The result was a high-fidelity prototype that not only solves a real need but also provides families with a reliable tool to care for their loved ones with peace of mind.
