FIGMA
GRAPHIC DESIGN
When I started this project as part of earning my Google Careers certificate, my goal was to fully immerse myself in the UX Design process and develop a functional app from scratch.
The challenge was to design an app for a Mexican food restaurant that would make the ordering process easier and more efficient, allowing users to choose between home delivery or in-store pickup. In addition, the experience had to be intuitive, fast, and visually appealing.
To achieve this, I followed a structured design process in Figma, starting from a prompt generated in Sharpen, which helped define the product’s direction. Throughout the project, I focused on three key areas:
-
User Experience and Navigation Flow – I conducted user research to identify their needs and expectations. Based on those insights, I structured the app’s navigation flow to ensure a smooth, frictionless ordering process.
-
Design and Prototyping – From the initial paper sketches to digital wireframes and high-fidelity interactive prototypes, each phase went through usability testing to ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience.
-
Visual Identity and Final Functionality – The color palette, typography, and visual elements were carefully chosen to reflect the restaurant’s essence. Key aspects like information hierarchy and accessibility were also optimized, making it easy for users to complete their orders.
The result was a high-fidelity prototype that not only meets user needs but also provides the restaurant with a modern and efficient platform to manage orders. If you’d like to dive deeper into the process and final outcome, you can explore the full Case Study and Prototype document.
